How can I make a warning light go off?

1.9 JTD 156 ( 2004 )

Just unplugged my battery to do an ECU reset. When I started the car again I had an 'Oil señor warning' notice on my info center. This is not the first time it has happened after a battery disconnect - eventually it went away.

Now on my motorcycle - if the MIL light comes on, once the cause has been fixed ( or if it was a phantom cause ) it will go out after 3 heat cycles ( start - let the engine get up to temperature - allow to cool down ) the warning light will automatically turn itself off.

How does it work on Alfas?

Some errors are 'fatal' and are recorded and need to be cleared, others not so and about five starts from personal experience.
