I have an Alfa 147 2.0 jtd, its just had a new slave cyclinder fitted and to fit it the battery was disconnected. Since re connecting the battery the speedo doesn't light up and there is a high pitched noise which starts whenever i reach 70mph, could anybody assist me in solving this?

I assume you mean 1.9 jtd? Speedo is illuminated by 286 capless bulbs. You just need to pull the speedo unit out nad change them. Can you describe the sound in a bit more detail. Is it speed or rev related? Could be turbo,a pulley on the belts, a binding disc or a catching spray guard etc...
