Help Knocking noise when coasting

My 156 2.4 JTD 10V suddenly developed a road speed related knocking noise on the way to work this morning. It occurs when coasting, clutch in or out has no effect, and is worst with small steering inputs; it disappears when accelerating or braking.

Any ideas what might be causing this? Wheel nuts are tight and balance weights don't look to be hitting the brake calipers or anything but that's as much as I can check at the moment.

New tyres were fitted two weeks ago and I replaced the upper wishbones last weekend so it's possible I screwed something up then but it has been fine up until today.
