Is this repair only just completed? Or was OK and now deteriorating?
Did you drain the cooling system before lifting the head?
Did you use a torque wrench? New bolts or reused old ones? (I don't know whether this engine uses single-use stretch type, or reusable. Single-use generally have a skinny waisted shank and a different method of tightening - ie x ft/lb + y degrees rotation. The older reusable type are usually but not always a straightforward torque setting.
Does steam in exhaust persist once the engine has warmed up?
Is the coolant level dropping? Steam from manifold suggests a coolant leak that should be visible.
Is the oil looking emulsified, like mayonnaise, at all?
In my (non-AR) experience small HG leaks make no obvious difference to the running. Cracked heads can go on for years, depends where the crack is located. A crack into an oilway or waterjacket is a problem.
If you want to pin down the problem easily, a compression test and cooling system pressure test should help.
