Clutch, Selector or Gearstick housing?
I have a 147 JTD which is stiff getting into gear and almost impossible to get into reverse (though getting it into 1st also takes a lot of effort).
I started with the cheap and easy by replacing the nylon bushes on the gear selector plate. But no difference. I wanted to inspect the gear stick housing but can't work out how to get it out (assume it needs to be on ramps with sections f the exhaust removed to get at it from underneath?).
But, I am starting to think it might be clutch as the gears select fine with the engine off. Would an almost gone clutch cause this? I haven;'t notices it slipping or the engine reving too high and this issue seemed to happen almost over night!
