I'm not afraid to name and shame! My local dealer is Sunwin in Derby
Sunwin, upon being told his used car stock was overpriced informed me that the Alfa I was looking too purchase must have been "written off" due to it's low price!
The Alfa I was looking to Purchase was from a Fiat dealer approx 10 miles from him! (JCS Kegworth, ask wrinx about there credentials)
Neadless to say guess who got my business!
Sunwin isn't worth the drip of my nose, I all-ways use an independent Fiat dealer (JCS Kegworth) for all my parts & servicing!!! They were an Alfa dealer until Alfa's changes (approx 8 yaers ago) WHY!
They still sell more used Alfa's than both Sunwin Derby & Nottingham added together!
So how does AR expect to improve its image when both my local dealers are like this!
Then again DC Cookes Mitsubishi, Derby, really took the Biscuit (and crumbled it) when I owned an L200 double cab pick up, the destroyed it whithin 8 weeks!!!
The balancer shaft ceased within 4 weeks of ownership!, OK any mistake can be made during construction, but when your local dealer then rebuilds the engine and leave a 5mm bolt yes a 5mm bolt on top of a piston (never mind the spanner on top of the battery, nice (denied) puncture wound in the bonnet) and wonders why I complained about a slight knocking sound !!!!!
They rewarded this dealer ship with a new Alfa Dealership in Derby (then they went bust!, thank god!)
Another (then) independent Mitsubihi dealer sorted out the probs (and returned the 5mm bolt, still inbedded in a piston) and Mitsubishi gave me approx £1,000.00 in compansation.
But why should we have to go through all this?
