I buy 2 5 litre tubs of Selenia 20K after the yearly service (when it also has an oil change).

I've been using a part-synthetic 10W 40 on my 156 TS 2.0L and it has not consumed any oil over 10K kms

Planning an oil change this weekend - going full synthetic (5W 40) - and will see how things go.

I have 1.9 JTD 8v and another JTD owner said before have never needed to top up, having said that had 2.0TS years ago and that went through huge amounts of oil but did have a very small leak that could never be sorted by dealers or local garages.

I have 2007 GT 1.8 twinspark. I have done approx 7,000 miles on her since I have had her and she has used 1.4 litres of oil since then. (over about 10 months). So that works out at roughly about 200ml of oil every thousand miles. Could be worse...

156 JTS. 4 litres in about 5000 miles. Went up with Selenia 10w60 as opposed to Castrol Edge 10w60, such that I would recommend the latter.

TS/JTS can use up to litre per 1000km. Perfectly normal.
Busso shouldn't use any (unless the piston rings are worn in which case it uses bloody loads.....goes well though )
JTD's don't tend to use any either apart from if they are close to service the may use a tiny bit.

That sounds like mine. I depends on how it is driven though. Gently (-ish) and it uses no oil. Mental and it drinks it up!
