156 Servicing schedule

My car was serviced by its previous owner last July with approx 12000 miles on the clock. My dealer tells me that in July it will have been a year since the last service and although I estimate the mileage will only be approx 18000 miles by that time it will need to go in for a further service. I believe the dealer can carry out a low mileage service, is this correct? My concern is that I have this low mileage service carried out in July but then have another service at 24000 miles which could feasibly be reached within another six months. I suppose what I'm really asking is, do I go by the date or the mileage to ensure that my car is serviced and therefore covered under warranty etc.

Re: 156 Servicing schedule

You will be getting the 24,000 miles service done on age. Any figures quoted always mention the age as well. For example, cambelt needs changing at 36k/3yrs...whichever comes first.

Check the pages with service stamps, sure it gives both figures for each box
