The other day (Sunday), I had a VDC system failure message on the computer soon after I started my jouney from cold. Today (Friday) I got exactly the same message at exactly the same place I got the other one. On both occassions I have stopped, switched the engine off and back on again and problem solved.
This car really has been trouble free (apart from my clutch last September). I am wondering now if the gremins are starting to get to work
Has anyone else had this problem. I am assuming it may be down to a sensor. The other thing I though of as it is a diesel and it has been VERY cold here, the battery gets a hammering as the glow plugs take a massive amount of juice away from the battery.
It's the cold.
Don't worry about it.
I get it quite often on very cold mornings if the first application of the brakes causes the ABS to kick in, and/or I get a bit of wheel spin setting off in the snow.
As long as it goes when you restart, that's the main thing.
I just drive to work with the error showing.
