Longlife at Carshalton Surrey undertook the work. They were very helpful and did exactly what was asked of them. If you use another branch or company they may argue that there is clearance issues with regard to the offside twin exhaust outlet pipes if you wish to achieve the required aesthetic look.
However, ask them nicely to carry out the following instructions which with the right tools (they should have in their arsenal) will be relatively straight forward for their technicians to undertake.
NOTE....There is NO NEED TO REMOVE THE REAR BUMPER during this procedure !
1) Remove rear towing eye cover trim.
2) Following the recess contour directly behind this cover remove plastic material from the bumper.
3) This will reveal the towing eye bracket pressing which is attached to the spare wheel well outer wall by 12 to 14 spot welds. These are easily removed cleanly by using a spot weld cutting tool/air chisel/grinder. The spare wheel well will require slight massaging using a mallet to facilitate clearance for the new twin tail exit pipes. Make sure you re-treat this area using underseal or waxoil.
If you don’t remove the tow bracket then the quad pipe installation will always sit too low to look correct and will require an expensive remodelled rear bumper to disguise the issue.
