147 window/mirror switch pack strange problem
Strange problem with the driver's side window/mirror switch pack.
My wife reported this problem to be this evening. When she triedt to open the window, she found that both window buttons, and the mirror circular control, were floppy and did not actuate anything. No beeps, nothing.
When she got home I went to investigate. I undid the bottom fixing screw and tried to pull the switch pack clear. Just the top cover came up, leaving the rest of the pack in the door, exposing the PCB on which the micro switches are located.
After I pried out the main body and disconnected it, I went indoors to investigate further. I clipped the whole thing back together, but the switches were still loose and floppy. On further investigation, there appears to be nothing in the switch to actually make contact with the micro switches. I can see where the buttons operate, but there is a considerable gap between where they are and the pads of the micro switches. It's as if there is supposed to be a cradle (or some pushrod assembly) or something in between which pushes on the micro switches. But if so, it is missing!
Can someone confirm or deny that there are supposed to be other bits in there to operate the switches please?
This is strange because the switch operated perfectly last week.
Can anyone advise please?
