How many faults?

Hi Guys'

Driving my 2001 156 1.8ts sw home today from it's new mot and it just cut out.Called recovery and with a jump it started, breakdown bloke sold me a new battery which he fitted, then it wouldn't start. He did a diagnostic and it's showing 4 faults they read P 0571,U 1600,P 0335 and P 0336. The breakdown bloke said his book didn't have those codes in it.
The engine turns well enough but willl not start. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Try starting it when its cooled down.

U1600 - is key related and probably not the issue
335/6 are crankshaft sensor codes - faulty sensor tend to lead car to cutting out when warm and starting again whilst cold although they can fail completely
Other code seems to be brake switch related

P0571 Brake light switch
U1600 possible problem code which is a key/ immobiliser ring
P0335 Intermittent CPS crank position sensor fault
P0336 CPS TDC fault

Not that bad.... CPS is why it won't start but the ring ariel around the ignition barrel might have a loose connection and wont help matters
Try disconnecting, cleaning and refit the brake light switch

you need a new crank sensor.
