No, my eyesights fine thank-you. Look at the way the A-pillar "blends" into the bonnet "buldge" that extends down to the grille, giving the edge of the bonnet a "shoulder"-like stance. Looks just like the new Focus. I know the 156 has something similar, but it's nowhere near as pronounced; hell, you have to actually look for it. It's subtle. It's nice. This is just obvious.
The C-pillar/boot relationship looks like a Mazda3 saloon, maybe a 6 hatch. Either way, the fact that it makes you think something *other* that "That's a Alfa..." is a bad thing. Hell, even the door handles now resemble everything else.
Sorry, but IMO it looks like Alfa have dumbed-down their styling so as enhance it's mass-market appeal; like they've dumped the sleek/sexy look for the "prestige" style like every man and his dog are adopting so as to give their cars that extra bit of image. A step backwards, a wasted opportunity, whatever you want to call it, it's not what I'd call progress.
