156 selespeed overheating issue
Hi, can anyone offer any advice for the following issue on my 2005 156 selespeed...?
I am getting an overheating issue which is happening after only a few Kms. Symptoms are high temp >110 deg, ECU engine coolant temp warning, hoses are solid with high pressure, radiator is cold to touch, fan is kicking in (but a hot rad isnt the problem!), no signs of water in the oil, no signs of loss of water, just high temps and appears that water isnt being moved around rad/engine. I had thermostat and pump replaced <10000kms ago, i have had issues with coil packs that are failing, one by one and intermittent engine control errors from misfiring engine.
My thoughts.....doesn't appear to be gasket or cracked block due to no loss of water or fouling of oil. Rad appears to be in reasonable condition and not corroded, pipes have water in them and when squeezed it is possible to feel the water being pushed around between rad and expansion tank. top and bottom pipes seem to have ability to move water around when hand squeezed.
Can anyone offer any thoughts or advice.....???
