Servicing Advice

Morning all.
Had my 2001 147 1.6, for about 10 months now, and have about 700 miles to the next service.

The mileage on the car at this stage will be just under 37,000. The service book indicates that the 36,000 mile service was done on the 10.03.04 at 24,565 miles, so this service will be the 48,0000 miles service i guess?!
So. what do you reckon a service will cost me at an Alfa dealership? Or at Veloces in Southgate(North london)?

What particularly needs to be done to the car at this stage..? All seems to be running perfectly, and the car just sailed through its MOT too.

Can anyone reccommend somewhere to get it done that won't rip me off?.. I have read far too many things on here about Alfa dealers for my liking. (can do east/North london easy enough, and into Essex too)

Re: Servicing Advice

Were the belts done at the 36k service....I think probably not.

You're probably looking at a bil for between 6-800 deending where you go...independant of course

If the belts, tensioner and variator were done it should be a much smaller bill unless something else is found like pads.

Re: Servicing Advice

Thanks for your response Wrinx..

Definitely a little bit more than I would have hoped for.

Would the belts need to be done at this stage? (the car has only covered 37,000miles) not sure if it needs to be done on a time basis or a mileage basis if you know what i mean..?!

Re: Servicing Advice

The cambelts etc should be changed at 36000miles/3-years whichever comes first.
If it wasn't done at the last service DO IT NOW!
