Dual Mass Flywheel replacement on a 156 JTD

Hi guys, following on from an earlier post a few of days ago, I got a couple of responses back telling me I needed to replace the DMF on my 2003 156 1.9 JTD. Since then I've managed to source a nearly new (in perfect condition) DMF, for really handy money. I was wondering, while i'm replacing this, is there (a) any other part that I MUST also replace with new....and (b) you recommend I perhaps replace with new, at the same time as changing the DMF?

Also, does anyone know of a guide for changing the DMF on here? Thanks loads !

removing the gear box is such great fun, if it were my car I'd only replace the DMF now & in 6 months then remove the box again to replace the clutch

Probably worth changing the anti-roll bar as well while the sub-frame is dropped.

I'm really hoping the DMF/clutch on my 20V don't fail. I make it a point of doing my own work but hate pulling gearboxes and the 156 does seem to be particularly good fun as Lacken notes

Am thinking I will have to replace DMF in due course. I am hoping my clutch will last a while longer than the summer as we are off to England and Wales in July for two weeks. Might call into Alfashop for clutch kit, dmf etc whilst over. If funds allow I might even aquire the Eibach anti roll bar kit

agree with the clutch as you have to take that off anyway and the ARB would be a good idea as gammakeith said also i'd lube the clutch arm thingy where it goes into the box and maybe a good idea whilst ur down there to change the g/box oil

Am going to go at lubricating the clutch release arm mechanism on Monday. Fortunately having access to a neighbours two post lift I will change the gearbox oil whilst I'm at it.
