jack up & remove the pass wheel. also the wheel arch. now you can gain access to the three 13mm botls that holds th epump in place. Open the joints of the hoses before hand.

NOTE: this si a HIGH pressure suystem, safety per-cautions are required before opening any hoses, system needs to be FULLY de-pressurised

gaining access to the pipe joints is the tricky bit, I found it best to remove the front headlight, which does involve undoing the front bumper bolts so the bumper can be dropped a little to access the retaining bolts of the headlight, there is no need to remove the whole thing, it just needs to drop a couple of inches. The whole process adds some 15mins but makes getting access to the unions so mush easier.

De-pressurise the system by removing the pump relay, put the key onto MAR and change gear until it stops working.

The spanner sizes are a bit weird as well, IIRC you will need a 19mm for larger union and a 11mm flare spanner for the smaller one, space is limited as they are set close together so the tools need to be fairly slim.

HTH and good luck.

where is the 19mm at the pump? I thought the 19mm was at the actuator, the opposite end?
