Problem starting 156 after changing head gasket

Hi, can anybody help me please? I've got an Alfa 156 2.0L Twinspark Sportwagon 2001. I've just changed the head gasket and all went well as normal. It's all back together but just wont start. I'm not sure if something has reset itself while the battery was disconnected?? There's no fuel going in to the injection rail and no spark that I can see. When putting the key in and turning 1 click, the 'key code' light comes on for 2 seconds and then goes out as usual. The engine management light is flashing at the same pace as the relay (in front of the battery) is clicking?? Which definately is not normal. The car is swinging over fine but not firing. It's also not the fuel cut off switch under the passenger seat. It's a bit complicated I know. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.

you have left an earth lead off the throttle body or the head.
