156 JTS variable clutch stiffness
I'm starting to wonder if I have slowly impending clutch trouble with my JTS. It's difficult to articulate but the required effort to depress the clutch can really vary, from pleasingly light to fairly tiring. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this - not particularly related to external or running temperature or anything else.
In addition some strange behaviours have come along with this - in particular sometimes changing from 1st to 2nd behaves as if I've made a mess of the gear change, but it feels like the clutch has taken its time to release. This means it can kangaroo with a delay of a fraction of a second after getting off the pedal.
The bite point is alright - bit high but not really noticeably nearer the end of the travel. No slipping either as far as I can tell. It's done 75k miles and I've no reason to believe it's ever been changed.
Any thoughts? Do I eventually need to save up some coins?
