my experience isnt as bad as the last post, but any idea that JTD cars are cheap to run should be banished. Yes they are quiet and very very quick, yes you can get 45mpg easily, but the cost of repairs to driveshaft tripods, clutch + dmf, injector leaking crap all over the head, injectors leaking and causing smoke, waterpump failures + you need an ecu diag lead because of the constant messing around trying to understand why the bloody thing is in limp mode again.
if you into fixing cars yourself then obviously some of the costs can be reduced, but if you going to buy a JTD with 60K on the clock i would be very careful
obviously the JTD 16v veloce i bought is a complete lemon
Im not sure what i would buy to replace a 155 now, real tough descision, i bought my 155 16v with 18k on the clock, drove it to 160k, with two sets of sparkplugs and three cambelts and loved every minute of it, but they are an old car now
