whoa!! whats with the anti diesel brigade??
i thought we were all here to help keep our ultra reliable
italian beasts on the road?
from what i have read on here the v6 does seem pretty reliable, but likes a bit of a drink. . .sounds lovely, tho!
the ts and jts seem to be very susceptable to a lack of maintenance, critical oil levels, cam belts then jelly bearings spring to mind!
i think the important point is if the car is properly maintained they don't tend to be that unreliable, whether petrol or diesel.
the suspension, brakes etc. are common to both fuel types and lets be honest, pretty weak.almost a service item like filters!!i guess johnmc7 just caught one that needed a damn good service!
i would have written this in klingon, but i've got a french keyboard and it just doesn't have the right characters on it and with my lead foot it's hard to type(maybe i should use my hands. . .) and drive at warp speed
as for vag group cars, they have their problems, (they must have, they got forums, too!
) and after a well cared for alfa, just seem soulless.having said that i can see your point,tho,Lacken156 but none of em sound like a five pot oil burner(yeah,ok,when its running!)
before i got bella i had a volvo 480 turbo,another car with 'reliability' issues.it only let me down once,fuel pump failure at 170k miles.i did about 40k in that!hope i don't get a ban for mentioning the 'v' word. . . .
