Before you start messing with Airbag wire disconnect the battery and leave it 10 mins or so, we don't want to be setting off any airbags do we?
There are connectors mounted under both front seats on the front edge, you should see a tray with yellow wires disappearing into either side of the tray, if you feel the underside of the tray there's a lip that you pull to silde the tray forwards to expose the connectors.....BUT before doing so there's a small, circular, plastic plug on ths side that you have to pop out to allow the tray to slide, there was much cursing before I spotted that.
There's also the airbag ECU which is mounted on top of the tunnel behind the panel adjacent to the driver's footrest, big orange connected on that. I'm sure there are others and I'd be interested to hear where they are as, despite checking these, the red airbag light on my son's 156 refuses to go out. You may need to connect software (FiatECUScan for example) to reset the Airbag errors.
