This has happened to me a few times now, and still no further to getting it fixed.
The car is absolutley fine driving around town etc, but as soon as I go on a run down the motorway, the clutch point drops to the floor and the pedal becomes a lot lighter.
The first time it happened, the clutch was non-existant and I had to get recovered to the garage. They changed the fluid and bled it and everything seemed OK.
Few weeks later and the same thing happened, but managed to get the car to the garage. They changed the master cylinder last Monday, and again, all seemed fine. Took it from Bristol - Swindon and back again last weekend, and Lo! it drops again.
Now, I drove it to the garage this morning, and even in the 15mins drive over there, the clutch play seemed to firm up and the bite point gradually rise from the depths of the carpet.
The garage have driven it around a bit and can't find anything worng with it!
Is this a slave cylinder that's playing silly buggers and needs to be replaced?
How can it be fine around town when I'm using it, and then fail when it's on the motorway and I'm not? AND, why would it fix itself???
