Re: Door trim removal on 1998 156
When you put it back on it can be a bit tricky to feed the locking plunger back through it's hole and to clip the top of the trim along the rubber seal, but persevere. If you've got it right it will fit straight back on. Other than that I found it quite simple on my first time, even easier since.
When refitting check to make sure that the small piece of dark grey foamy rubber that protects the speaker back is fitted properly. Mine wasn't and had slipped to form a funnel through which the water was being directed. This eventually delaminated the water seal and it leaked. I threw it doam away and now it stays dry!
