I thought I would be another cheap 147 with sele failure, however this time it is proving more of a challenge. The Alfa is biting back
The one fault on ECUScan is low pressure related, it is still only registering 9.1 bar, however this is after
* changing the pump
* changing the accumulator
* changing the pressure switch
* replacing the oil
all the parts are from a spare acctuator and pump in the boot, the pump looked brand new
other annoyances are
ECU scan does not always find the sele ECU, only about one in 10 attempts, not that good at finding the rest of them either, but nearer a 8/10 hit rate.
I have a replacement ECU too. The first one would not connect at all, it did allow the car into 1, 2 and R, the new one goes through the gears (until low pressure interferes) but will not go into reverse at all.
One thing I have yet to check is if there is a leak into the gearbox.
The multiplug should not be an issue as it has been cut off and all the wires soldered up, relay is new, gearbox was an Alfa recon unit form 2005.
I am unsure if I have one issue affecting many things or many issues all combining, as said low pressure appears to be the only reported fault.
Any ideas gents?
