Yes I'd agree, I was recently doing some work with the car facing the low winter sun and when reved I saw clouds of fumes leaking from the breather, where the quick coupling is, on top of the separator pot. It had been getting into the ventilation system and irritating my throat. I reworked the coupling with some 1 1/4 inch i/d hose clamped to the top-hat on the top of the pot. No more fumes. The engine uses no oil.

Also I was pointed by friend mechanic in direction of PCV valve, some vacuum leak or piping seriously pluged other than just bad rings/seals....

Thanks a lot for comments....I will keep track of this and post!

Most probably I am bit sensitive when it gets to my Alfa and the fact that I never owned a diesel before
