Thanks for help so far in upgrading my very low spec 2008 tspark, I've fitted cruise, a doddle and a rear air vent in place of a cup holder! Now I want to get a leather steering wheel to replace the current rubbery plastic one.
Will an wheel from an earlier pre-facelift 147 2003 fit the column on my facelift 2008 model please?

I'm answering my own question as I got some information from a breakers.
The later steering wheels have different splines, a newer one can be made to fit and older model but not visa versa. I'm having no luck at breakers yet.
Does anyone have a leather steering wheel from an 05 onward for sale? It is the type that has no spaces for radio remote, perhaps you have upgraded?

The breakers are wrong. All 147 steering wheels and steering columns have the same splines. Same as the GT as well. So you can use any 147 steering wheel you want and any GT steering wheel, even steering wheels from 156with the new interior, but for the 156 ones I am not entirely sure, the need to be modified a tad or forced on the steering column and still not sure if they would fit.

Yep as ALexandrus says you can fit any wheel. If you buy a wheel with controls and a second hand clock spring you can have steering controls too. :)

Yes, and they also seem to have a little control box. Looks like a lot of work as the green ISO doesn't go straight to the wheel from what I saw.

Would be interesting to see the actual cable tho. I'm also wondering if all that can be bypassed so you run the 3rd party steering wheel adapter to the steering wheel?
