Potential clutch worn out/ also Q about heavy clutch
So today took the GT out, car is shuddering a tiny bit in 1st gear and progressively got a little worse. I immediately put it down to clutch slip starting. When I stopped at the car park I smell burnt clutch even though I wasn't accelerating hard as I assumed the clutch was on the way out.
Clutch also starts to slip on higher downshifts on the way back home. But I haven't noticed any clutch slip while in a higher gear under load.... yet.
Basically does it just need a clutch and bearing, or does it need more?
Does the fly wheel need to be replaced or machined at all???
As the clutch pedal is extremely stiff and heavy now, should this clear up a bit when the clutch is replaced, or is it due to something else like the cylinder or another part of the clutch mechanism?
