Things to pass on? yup....change the water pump while youre in there. are you doing the variator? also worth doing while youre at it (i just added £150 to your bill!!). Assuming the variator comes off the inlet cam. Had to put my camshaft in the vice and abuse the variator with 18" stilsons!!!
Tensioner too...according to the autodata book, the tensioner needs to be set to the maximum, one complete revolution of the engine completed and then backed off so that the pointer points to the little round hole.

You dont necessarily need the DTI as a long "thing" is good enough...knitting needle or somewhat is ok.
You'll know youre in the right place as the cam locks will be in the right place.
Get some tippex too, mark up the crank pulley. which is tighter than a tight thing on national tight day.
