GT 2.0JTS - Wheel Alignment/Tracking

I've now had my GT 2.0 JTS for around 3 months now. Love the car and don't really have any complaints.

However, over the past couple of weeks, I've noticed that the steering wheel is slightly off center (turned a few degrees to the right) when keeping the wheels straight. In addition, i find the steering 'pulling' to the right when i accelerate from stop (like at lights) and when i brake to come to a halt. Sometimes, when going round a left hand bend, i find i have to really hold the steering wheel solid to stop it jumping to the left...

My local Alfa dealership wants £100 to balance the wheels. Is this worth doing or should i just take it to a local independent and pay a fraction of the cost?

I'm guessing this is only the tracking that is off. Does anyone think something more sinister is underfoot?

There is nothing wrong with your wheels. As usual the stealer is spouting utter crap. As you have deduced correctly it is your alignement that needs doing. The car may have hit a pot hole before you bought it. Go and get it 4 wheel aligned (but not at somewhere like qwikfit as they'll balls it up as well). Hopefully problem solved

My 156 pulled left when I first got it, had four wheel tracking done at a local tyre specialist and it felt like a different car. I think it cost me about £50.

I would recommend four wheel tracking rather than just the front, the rear is adjustable on the 156.
