Alfa 156 2.4 D

Help Urgent help

Help guys , Alfa 156 2.4 d been in for clutch garage put it back together and it's lost 5th gear , now the garage think it's internal gearbox problem but seems very odd was fine b4 it went in

Anyone got ideas ?

Would have thought it was a linkage or similar issue rather than the 'box...

I agree with that, although its fairly difficult to get it wrong....possibly the outer sheath of one of the gear cables not properly secured in the bracket?
