Help New Owner Help with filler tank identification and break light

Hello Everybody.

I have just got my hands on a 2002 156 2.0 selespeed T-spark, This is my first Alfa so I'm trying to get to know everything before I get started.

What I want to know is....

What is the tank to the right of the battery (the cap has a pic of a car with the bonnet up) and what goes in it??

Secondly the rear drivers side break light doesn't come on properly until i wiggle the bulb, Even when turned of and ignition off has 8.5v running through it causing it to glow slightly and obviously drains the battery if left in.
Also it causes the bulb failure light is on in the dashboard but goes out when the lights are turned on.

I hear that its something to do with the PCB/Electronics in the back of the rev counter but as this is my first I have no idea.

All help would be much appreciated

Cheers Dave.

The tank is for Selespeed fluid (Selenia CS Speed).
As long as there is fluid visible above the baffle-plate after the pump has stopped it is fine.

Rear light could mean a new rev-counter, but you also get weird issues if an earth point is loose (one below each light unit).
