I've been on a few times to explain my long running carry on with Alfa's with regards to Variator/Cam belt etc.
My warantee was two days out. I spoke to Alfa to explain that the variator needed changing and they agreed to pay for it plus half of the labour costs. It basically meant that i'd have to pay £250. I spoke to customer services to get a breakdown of the costs and how they had came to their conclusion because the Alfa regional managers are 'non-customer facing' - wot a lovely job!
In between me waiting to hear back from customer services I was informed that the agreement was only for 4 weeks and that it was due to expire. Obviously, I still hadn't heard back from customer services and xmas hols were coming up so I asked my dealer whether he would re-submit the query and he said it wouldn't be a problem.
So....I return after xmas ready to go through with the repairs having heard back from customer services but due to Alfa's 'change in policy' they would not even consider paying anything towards the bill!!!
