Well myself and previous owner whom I know both use Bristol street motors in Worcester who we bought out new fiat from and have been a customer of Bristol streets for a fair few years, the chap I got the car off, bought off a man in Stockport in 2009 just after it had been serviced by kwikfit
but my pal still had the car checked over by the rac when he decided to buy it and he is the most anal retentive chap I know when it comes to cars, which I why I bought this off him, he only had to sell it as his wife had had triplets and the var just wasn't practical for him anymore, and he was so upset when he gave me the keys as he loved the car so much, he had spent quiet a bit making sure it was in mint condition.
He had the car serviced in nov when the mot was due so had it done at the same time and if it had needed Cambelt he would of either told me or had it done.
He's as shocked as I am that it snapped this morning
And the garage who have got the car don't specialise in any make but they have a few other workshops in the same est so between everyone theres lots of knowledge, I've seen the right parts on eBay for £100 if it just the belt but if it's more than that then Malvern rebore are next door to these guys and they can repair the head, but so far been quoted max £900 to fix so it's borderline weather it's worth repairing or not
The car is mint apart from this Cambelt thing
The belt was last changed in 2008 At reg Vardy Alfa in Stockport
But as I say the book says every 72,000
so when dealers tell u it's not due then you don't replace it lol
