Re: 156 headlamp bulbs
I've realised that the H7 dipped headlight bulbs have a collar on them that will (just about) push tightly into the headlight assembly - but, if you do, the focus of the light goes all to ****.....
That was how the car was delivered to me, so it may be the reason why so many people are saying that the headlights are crap - but others are OK.
The way that I sorted it was to park the car facing a wall, loosen the bulb spring clips on each headlight in turn and then, with the headlight turned on (yes really), to jiggle the bulb around inside the headlight housing until the shape of the beam and the focus was just right.
When its spot-on, fasten the spring clips to hold the bulb in that position and bob's your uncle!
Just come back over Snake Pass and along the M61 and the beam and light pattern were excellent.
Now the only problem to fix is to stop the main beams shining up into the sky.
I assume that I'll need to put a washer behind the top headlight mounting bolt, to tip the whole assembly down a bit and then re-level the dipped beam using the adjustment screw again...
