147 CD/radio failure

Hi all

The CD/radio has just packed up altogether in our 2001 147.

I will call Alfa tomorrow to see if they still sell them new, if so am expecting it won't be cheap. I'm keen to find out if these units can be fixed and if there are any usual problems that I should look out for. I want to keep the standard unit in the car to keep the car standard.

Does anybody have any experience of these units failing in the past? Or any ideas to get an Alfa standard replacement?

Thanks for your help, Simon

Ebay will be your best bet (along with this forum obviously). Picked one up to replace mine (lost all sound) for 50, which works fine & came with the radio codes etc.

I'd expect them to be ridiculously expensive from a dealer

Plus the fact that it's a Blaupunkt unit, so you can always get it fixed to your Blaupunkt dealer(if its not a big problem)...
