Hello chums I'm after some honest advice I own a 99 165 V6 manual which I've just
bought in the past week for £200 I took it for an MOT and it failed on a couple of holes
on both inner wings which I've had welded so including the MOT work the car owes me
£425 with a years ticket.
My question is this I have managed to trace the owners from new bar the past 6 months
in my folder I have £12K receipts from the original owner main dealer only servicing new
box and clutch at 100K approx new starter at 115K approx ect ect.. Do I replace the belt
water pump, plus plugs which are due cost wise around the £750 mark or not? the reason
I ask the question is while calling a few specialists one asked me the same question either
spend the money or accept that when the belt snaps the car is scrap. Should have said
near the beginning the car has 150k on the clock but I think is in very good condition
considering the mileage, Black leather , Wooden wheel, air con which works? ect.
Any help or guidance would be gratefully received I welcome all view points
