Welcome to the Forum Colin, nice chioce of car and engine
Motoring : Directgov - MOT history request
Put your registration number and MOT test certificate number in and you will be able to find:
When & where it was tested in the past
How many miles were recorded between tests
If there were any further failures/ advisories
in the past...
Very handy that one, as for example:
You will see if it was failed/advised on suspension bushes etc.... So then you will be able to figure out when they were done last if no other records show
It's quiet a good tool as you will be able to track how reliable the car owner has been with keeping up maintenence... I.e. Fewer advisories/ between MOT tests usually means they have kept on top of the car the rest of the year instead of waiting to find out
As for service items...
Check the location of the previous owner and do a search for a local independant Alfa specialist in that area. Chances are they may have had the car through their hands at one stage....
At least you can then start to patch together a history for your own peace of mind...
Hope this helps
