Weird(typical) start-up problem
No major problems recently. Was driving back to college this evening and pulled in for 10mins. Petrol light had come on about 10miles prior to this. Went to start up and it wouldn't. Engine was turning but wouldn't start. First time she hasn't started.
I thought it could be petrol, but it wasn't that empty (needle possibly off). But before I embarked on the embarrassing walk to the petrol station to fill a gerry can, I messed with the battery connection a little. Then tried again. She started up with the typical "Motor Control System Failure".
Then after 5 miles of driving I reached college. Started it up 3 more times, all sounding fine and successful without any errors. I'm going to have to get a diagnostic done anyway. I assume it's going to be:
A) Crankshaft Sensor
B) Battery (hasn't been charged up since replaced 35,000 miles ago)
C) Some other electrical fault
Anyone wish to take a bet on one?
