Pros and cons to decat a 156 2.5 v6 2001

Good Evening Gents,

I have to fix the muffler of my 156 2.5 v6 2001, but Iím thinking to take the catalyst away. Here I have no problem with co2 regulation at the moment.

My question is the 2.5 v6 has an oxygen sensor on the catalyst? I do not want to upset the signals to the ECU.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated

Do you have a CF2 or CF3 version of the engine management? CF2 has the ECU in the passenger compartment, CF3 has the ECU on the back of the plenum.

if only one cat then the oxygen sensor is BEFORE the cat, simply remove the cat & replace it.
