Rear Hub - removing, tool size? General tips for the work

I am about to replace the rear hub units on my 156 SW, 2000 year's model.
There is a large nut holding the hub unit in place. Anyone know the wrench size for this nut?
I need to check if I have the correct tool size in the workshop in adwance.

Anyone having good tips and trix, or warnings, for rear hub replacment, please just post them here.

I had to heat my rear hub nut with a blowtorch and use a 6ft scaffold pole over my long wrench to get it to budge. Remove the plastic abs sensors carefully. 70 for a new one if you break them.

Good luck

I've always just replaced the hub unit complete.....biggest problem is removing the long bolt that goes through the bottom of the hub and the outer end of the two radius can take an enormous amount of effort to get it to clean the exposed area between the two webs of the hub casting as much as possible and give it a good soaking in penetrating oil for a few days before hand.....

Removing ABS sensors on the other hand is an almost impossible job - my success rate is about 15%....
