Whoa there, good job, Dave!
Being 1 of the first owners of 2.5V6 in the country some 4 yrs back I had to endure a number of mechanics who knew nothing about changing oil filter on this beast!
1st guy who attempted it took 2 hours to get it off, then found that the new filter he has in stock is too big to go in. Back went the old filter and another visit the next day. Then, they put a nice deep ding on my brand new car just to add to the effect!
2nd oil change, went to main dealer, 2 day job turned into a month's worth of legal battle and bodywork. Turns out someone smashed my rear bumper into a steel beam inside the workshop! I knew it just had something to do with a frustrated worker who couldn't get the oil filter out.
3rd change, went to another dealer and they promised me a half day job, but I couldn't collect the car till late evening, saw a guy with lots of bandages on his hands handing over the keys to the service advisor.
4th change, went to the 'specialist' who just started their business and hadn't done a 2.5V6 more than 1 or 2 times. Got the 'frowned' look.... uh-oh! I prayed hard! But.... Phew, nothing untoward happened.
These guys are now experts in removing oil filters, they got small hands, as Redd said.
