Engine cover rattle

The engine cover of my 156 JTD is missing the 'popper' fixing from the top right hand side, causing it to make an irritating vibration noise when idling. Any suggestions for fixing this? Obviously the engine gets hot so any solution has to be heat resistant.

I'd toyed with gluing some rubber or thick fabric to the underside on that corner but don't want whatever I use to melt/burn...

Or are the 'poppers' readily available?

I broke mine as it's been on and off so many times. Hard to explane but I drilled holes and used zip ties to hold the popper bit in place mine and it's been fine.

Cheers, mine was missing when I bought it so I don't have it to fit back on, I'm not even sure what it looks like

Any suggestions for a replacement?

I had this annoying rattle too. On mine the three rubber bushings with the metal inserts has badly worn, so I used some tap washers to sandwich the old ones which significantly reduced the vibrations. Also noticed the socket for the ball joint was missing / broken, is there anyway to repair this short of buying a replacement engine cover?
