Turbo can be repaired but not on a diy basis imo. They are a precision engineered piece of kit, tolerances are exacting etc etc. £350+ fitting is a great price for a used one and I am sure that Autolusso will have given it a damn good inspection otherwise I doubt they would sell it to you. If you get them to do the job will they clean out the intercooler for you?
Imo, key to long turbo life is regular change of oil and filter (ensure use of correct grade full synthetic oil), when starting from cold allow 30 seconds or so for full oil pressure and for oil to be flowing through turbo. When shutting engine down allow 30 - 60 seconds for turbo to spool down before shut down. Turbo's spin at freakishly high speeds and oil is their life blood. I have seen plenty of broken compressor wheels imbedded into piston crowns in the past.
