Have you tried swapping the spark plugs?
No, I tried swapping the coils but it's still the same. Plugs will have to be next weekends task, unless something more urgent happens in the meantime!
JTS are very fussy about the type of plugs used in them. The plug MUST be NGK
Oh FFS, I just bought Bosch plugs. They were very cheap though, bought 4 items in Halfords and the boy on the till only rang up two of them. I was going to go back and tell them when I checked the receipt but didn't want the poor guy to get the sack.
Thought it seemed cheap at the time though.
Check the plugs after a long drive...a bit of a hassle but it may show the culprit
p.s. is rarebit tasty ? ;-)
I am not that clued up on mechanics (or name spelling) what would I be looking for exactly with what I assume would be very hot plugs?
rarebit is very tasty and very easy to cook, could probably make some with the plugs when I take them out.
could this not be air flow meter problem as its happening when cold ,,,,ie not reading off lambdas until they are up to temp??????
Again, my mechanical knowledge is shown wanting, I have no idea if the air flow meter could be causing it, from what I have read on this forum though that is one troublesome piece of kit. I remember someone posted something on here about how to clean it, do you think that would be worth a go?
