Independent Alfa GT service advice Cheshire / Shropshire areas
I'm new to the forum and new to Alfa Romeo after buying my 07 GT Lusso diesel about 8 weeks ago.
I've been lurking around reading the advice from the knowledgable people here.
I'm pleased with my car so far in terms of performance, economy, safety and style. After owning a beloved mx-5 for a number of years and being used to doing a lot of my own maintenance, I am aware that the GT is more of a complex unit, so will be using professional servicing.
My first questions are as follows:
My car is July 07 with 35,000 on the clock. It has full Alfa dealer service history (last one was the after-sales one in Sept, but took them less than an hour), and the car was sold with an Alfa used vehicle warranty. What would be your advice as to when to have the cambelt/ pump changed? I don't fancy that snapping.
I have been reading on here some of the quoted prices for dealer servicing. Are there any recommended independent specialists in my area? I am just on the Cheshire / Shropshire border and sometimes work in North Staffs.
How would I stand with the warranty if I used an independent dealer for the service?
