I bought mine to be a keeper, whether that means the equivalent of someone still having a '70's 1750 GTV from new, I don't know. I wanted a GT for so long so when I could afford one I wanted it to be a keeper which is one of the reasons I went for a V6, being possibly the last true Alfa engine.
The GT benefits from having very little facelift attention, it's a car in it's own right, unlike say Audi's which are nice cars but get facelifted every full moon, therefore they age quicker. I mean how much older does an A4 Avant look than a 156 Sportwagon of the same year?
Unless the Government make it impossible to run a V6, I'll be keeping mine for a long time.
