HELP! - 156TS 2.0 Sportwagon power loss
My 156TS 2.0 Sportwagon drives beautifully from start-up, however after a few miles if I accelerate thru about 3,000rpm the engine just cuts out - down to idle, no throttle! I can coast, turn the ignition off then re-start the engine no problem - engine management light glows steady orange and I can continue by keeping the revs down.
Just happened to me on a busy dual carriageway whilst pulling away from lights alongside an artic' -very disconcerting!
It's now driving me mad. Been to 2 Alfa specialists who have swapped out the throttle body, pedal actuator (Thingy) ECU, all coil packs, replaced all spark plugs, replaced oxygen sensor? and checked the MAF!
I loved the car when it was driving OK but now I'm pulling my hair out, and no one seems to be able to offer a solution. Car is an 02 plate with 65,000 miles. Someone, please help!
