I think you got off light!
Look at what i'm facing,
I took my car for it's MOT to garage A.. They failed it on 2 front uppers and 2 rear tyres, a wiper blade and a bulb and 1 exhaust support. They said it would be about £300.
I waited for a few weeks as I was going to just buy another car instead so I started searching but I couldn't find anything I really wanted.
So I take my car to garage B and they've had it since Saturday.. They put new front arms on both sides £45 each plus 1 hour on each side labour.
They put 2 new tyres on for £55 each and did the welding on the exhaust support £20 and then today put it through the MOT.. Another £40...
I call up and say, is it ready to collect now?? And he said, no, you car failed the MOT on a wiper blade and a bulb and your Rear wishes failed too
(is it even rear wishes?? I can't remember what he called them but he said they are responsible for the inside wear on my rear wheels)
I'd already told him that it needed a wiper blade and a bulb and he even has my failure sheet so why fail it on those? Plus garage A who originally failed the car never mentioned anything about the rear wishes.
So now the rear wishes have to be done parts plus labour and the car re-tested again. And he's also running the diagnostics on it for £40+ VAT.
What on earth kind of bill am I looking at???
I said right at the start I wasn't willing to spend more than what the car was worth and I would just scrap it and buy another one.
