Empty Boot

Hi all, on purchasing my 55 plate GT JTDm I found nothing in the boot apart from an Alfa Foot Pump and a can of Tyre Foam should anything else be in there

The owner's handbook makes reference to this. Apparently it is an option in some markets instead of a spare skinny wheel. Not sure if this was an option in the UK but I think some other manufacturers take that approach.

Do you have a tool kit on the footwell?

My 57 has a space saver and tool kit. The wifes Mini has the same as you, an electric pump and a can of foam. She has said she will be calling me if she has a puncture........

Have you got 18'' wheels?

I believe the pump and foam was standard if you'd ordered the car with 18''ers with the spacesaver being an option.

I got the full wheel kit from Ned not long after gettng mine for peace of mind

I've sold a few spare wheel and jack/wheelbrace kits to GT owners - one in particular after he'd missed an important business meeting after a sidewall failure - a can of foam doesn't help much with that! If you have the big front brakes, though, and get a front puncture, you have to swap a rear wheel for the spare and then fit the wheel from the rear onto the front.......
